A Work in Progress – Part 2
The build out of our upcoming Pop Up shop continues and as the days wind down till the launch, we’re seeing the space come together more and more every day.
Saturday morning we popped by Steve’s old stomping grounds at the Pratt Institute Industrial Design department to check out the progress of our custom display cases that are being hand made by John Medley.
John Medley is an extremely skillful carpenter and instructor at Pratt and can usually be found at the campus’ main Wood Shop helping students with projects or constructing some sort of table. He makes it look easy…
… They both do! The perk of studying industrial design is the ability to combine the idea of a sketch model with the know-how to craft it with precision and ease. Steve is totally in his element!
Can’t wait to share photos after the installation process. Once these pieces are transported from Brooklyn to Manhattan at 2 Extra Place, I have a feeling they’ll fit right in!
